Commercial Photography (Associate in Applied Science)
The Associate in Applied Science Degree in Commercial Photography program is for those who want to begin work after receiving a two-year degree. The program focuses on photography, design, illustration, visual advertising, portraiture, and computer imaging, as well as business and marketing. Commercial photographers work for clients both in the studio and on location and they also function as key members of artistic, design, or advertising teams.
Studio Photography (Associate in Arts)
Studio Photography is a transfer program for students wanting a career as a fine arts photographer. This curriculum is suggested for those intending to complete an associate in arts degree at HCC and then transfer to another institution to pursue a bachelor’s degree. Professional photographers work in various subject areas and may find opportunities to market their work to patrons, galleries, corporations, or museums.
