Early College Eligibility

Concurrent Eligibility & Prerequisite Information

Concurrent enrollment is open to qualified high school sophomores, juniors and seniors.  Some courses have prerequisite requirements.  These prerequisites ensure that you are academically prepared for your college class.  It’s important that you meet with your high school counselor to determine if you have the appropriate placement scores on file prior to registering for courses.  See below for current prerequisite information.  If you have not taken the ACT or need to schedule a placement test, please contact your HCC campus or regional center to set up a testing date.

Concurrent HCC Placement Scores & GPA Pilot

HCC is making postive changes to impact student enrollment. This chart is an attempt to pilot High School GPA and GED Scores to the menu of options to use for placement. To view the full placement score chart, please visit HCC Placement Score Requirements. Virtual placement testing will also be available via Zoom. If you need to schedule a virtual Accuplacer test, please visit Placement Test Scheduling Form.
