Katy Rae Nordman hails from Augusta. She played third base for Highland, with a .386 batting average with nine home runs, 53 RBIs, and 12 doubles in her sophomore year. Nordman was selected as First-Team All-Jayhawk Conference her sophomore year.
Annie Rockley is an outfielder from Independence, MO. She was an Honorable Mention All-Jayhawk selection as a sophomore with a .330 batting average and hit two home runs for the Scotties.
The 2016 season was a successful one under Highland Head Coach Heidi Jordan. The Scotties returned to the National Tournament after a one year absence after winning the NJCAA Region VI, Division II, District E Championship. The Scotties also dominated the Jayhawk Conference selections with eight players selected on the First Team. In addition to the selections, Jordan was selected as Coach of the year.
