Doniphan County Student Awarded a Highland Community College Foundation Scholarship
published February 4, 2020On January 29, Doniphan County high school seniors and their families were invited to a special open house on the campus of Highland Community College. The evening featured a tour of campus, college Q&A, and a dinner/dessert reception where one student was drawn as the winner of a $500 scholarship from the Highland Community College Foundation.
Bereanna Weiland, a senior at Doniphan West High School, in Highland, Kansas was the winner of the $500 Doniphan County Open House Nigh Foundation Scholarship.
"Our Doniphan County Open House is always a great time to visit with students and parents from our local communities. HCC's mission is to provide lifelong learning opportunities and contribute to economic development to enhance the quality of life in the communities we serve. The event is another opportunity to live out our mission. We're so thankful to our Foundation for the funds they provide our students," said Stephanie Peterson, Director of Admissions at HCC.
