Rosters Set for 33rd Annual Northeast Kansas All-Star Games Set for March 31st

The 33rd Annual Northeast Kansas All-Star games are just around the corner set for Sunday, March 31st at Ben Allen Fieldhouse on the campus of Highland Community College.

The volleyball match and basketball games will feature some of the top high school athletes in the Northeast Kansas area competing against each other in a fun and friendly All-Star Game. The volleyball match is set to begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by the women's basketball game at 4:00 p.m. and the day will end with the men's basketball game tipping-off at 6:00 p.m.

The participants are set for the 33rd edition of the Northeast Kansas All-Star Games. The Volleyball contest will feature 21 area athletes, while 28 area girls and boys will compete in the basketball All-Star games.

This year All-Star game will feature some returning coaches from last year and a few newcomers to the game. In the volleyball contest Jefferson County North Head Coach, David Schuler returns to coach again after leading JCN to the Northeast Kansas League title this past season. While Royal Valley Head Coach, Gary Armstrong will lead a volleyball team also after leading the Panthers to the Big Seven League title this past season.

In the girls' basketball team Royal Valley Head Coach, Kyle Porter returns to the All-Star game sideline this season after leading his Panthers to the 3A State title this season. While Jackson Heights Head Coach, Dan Shupe will lead the other team after leading his Cobras girls to the State tournament for the first time since 2000 this year.

For the boys' basketball contest Perry Lecompton Head Coach, Jared Swafford returns to coach again coming back after leading the Kaws to a third-place finish at the 3A State tournament this season. McLouth Bulldog Head Coach, Steve Lilly will lead the other team after leading the Bulldogs to their most wins since 1955 and to the State tournament for the first time since 1960.

All three games will be live streamed on the Scottie Sports Network (watch live) and will be archived after the broadcasts. Games will also air on local TV through Rainbow Communications at a later date. The game broadcasts will include interviews with the athletes and area coaches. 

Games will also be broadcasted on local radio on three stations KNZA 103.9 FM & KMZA 92.1 FM and KAIR 93.7 FM and also streamed online (listen online).

Over one thousand spectators attend the annual event, which proves to be exciting and enjoyable for all participants, coaches and fans. Mark your calendars for the 33rd edition of the annual Northeast Kansas All-Star games as we hope to see you on Sunday, March 31st.
