Dr. Christine Wilson, Assistant Dean in the College of Agriculture at Kansas State University, addressed the Highland Community College agriculture orientation class on September 15. Dr. Wilson outlined job opportunities in agriculture and various programs at KSU designed to meet those opportunities. There are eight different departments, 15 majors, nine minors, and over 40 different options within the KSU College of Agriculture. Besides reviewing all the different choices, Dr. Wilson emphasized scholarship opportunities, admission applications, and a review of graduate placement and starting salaries. She pointed out the demand for milling students and that most milling jobs have starting salaries at $60,000 plus.
