Paige Crawford (Salina, KS), a pitcher/designated player for the Highland Community College softball team, was named the KJCCC (Jayhawk Conference) Verizon Wireless and NJCAA national Player of The Week for her performance last week. Crawford made the most out of her hits last week in the Scotties’ four victories. The sophomore built a .625 batting average (5-for-8) with 10 RBIs and seven runs scored. Going yard on every one of her five hits, Crawford hammered five home runs on the week for a 2.500 slugging percentage. She also had a victory in the circle, pitching the number nine nationally ranked Scotties to a 6-1 victory over Brown Mackie on Friday.
