The Highland Community College women's cross country ran their first meet at the Maple Leaf Invitational in Baldwin City on September 6 at Baker University. The Scottie women finished sixth overall and second against other community colleges in the Invitational which hosts both two- and four-year colleges.
Kalli Morland (Louisburg) led the Scottie runners in the 4 K run with a time of 17:09.49, good for 23rd place overall. She was followed closely by Courtney Armon (Farmington, MO) in 25th place with a time of 17:17.19. Jennifer Hall (Carbondale) was on Armon’s heels, finishing 26th with a time of 17:18.39. Skylie Hughes (St. Joseph, MO) finished in 42nd and Syvannah Williams (Leavenworth) finished out the Scottie runners in 50th.
