The first official NJCAA poll of the season is out, and the Highland Community College women’s basketball team is ranked 4th in country. The Scotties are off to a 13-0 start after winning the Region championship last season over conference rival JCCC and finishing 5th in the country. The Scottie women are ranked in the top 10 in most of the national statistics, including 1st in points scored and 3rd in points per game (averaging 90.3), and the Scotties are also 2nd in the country in opponents field goal percentage.
Highland heads to Beatrice, Nebraska this weekend to face 19th ranked Central Nebraska on Friday at 2:00 pm and Southeast Nebraska on Saturday at 6:00 pm.
