-- Save the Date! Tuesday, July 27th.

HCC V&E will host the second annual open house + field day at the facility in Wamego, KS (address below).  Students and industry are welcome to join us.  We will discuss the new and old research vineyard, our vineyard equipment, wines in the research wine library, introduce our new Enology instructor, and offer the opportunity to sample wines from the library after lunch.  Cost is $10 per person, lunch provided on site.

-- Speaking of the new Enology instructor…  Last but not least, I’d like to introduce HCC’s new Enology instructor and Highland winemaker, Nicole Clark.  Nicole is a native of Wichita, Kansas.  She spent the past eight years working in the wine industry in Sonoma County, California.  She’s a Level 2 Sommelier, and started for working for Highland in late April.  Welcome to the team, Nicole!
