Highland Community College Board of Trustees Announce Candidates for Position of President
published February 19, 2019After a nationwide search, the Highland Community College Board of Trustees announced they will bring three candidates for the position of President to campus February 25, 26 and 28, 2019 for interviews. This is after current President David Reist announced in July of 2018 his retirement to the Board of Trustees effective June 2019 after 38 years with Highland.
Candidates will meet with representatives from faculty, staff, community, and the student body. In addition, they will also be interviewed by the Presidential screening committee as well as the Highland Community College Board of Trustees.
Candidates include:
Brett Campbell, Ed.D. of Tulsa, Oklahoma
Campbell has most recently served as Senior Vice President of Workforce & Education at the Tulsa Regional Chamber, and Provost and Vice President of Workforce Development at Tulsa Community College, Northeast Campus. He holds an Educational Doctorate in Higher Education Leadership from Oklahoma State University.
Timothy Taylor, Ph.D. of Clarkston, Michigan
Taylor has most recently served as Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs at Oakland Community College in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and as President Oakland Community College in Auburn Mills, Michigan. Taylor earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
George McNulty, Ph.D. of Colby, Kansas
McNulty has most recently served as Vice President of Student Affairs at Colby Community College, Colby, Kansas and Interim Director of Financial Assistance at Western Nevada College in Carson City, NV. He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from University of Nevada, Reno.
