Eight members of the Highland Community College Business Club recently attended the State Convention in Wichita. During the State Convention, the students competed in various business contests against members of other clubs. The Highland students and their awards are:
Alexy Clark (Wathena) 1st place in Advanced Office Systems and Procedures, 2nd place in Prepared Speech, and Top Ten in Financial Math and Analysis, Administrative Support Concepts, and Parliamentary Procedure Concepts
Laura Flory (Nortonville) 1st place in Advanced Interview Skills, 2nd place in Entrepreneurship, and Top Ten in Administrative Support Concepts, Parliamentary Procedure Concepts, and Business Meeting Management
Elizabeth Foster (St Mary’s) 2nd place in Desktop Publishing and 3rd place in Administrative Support Team
Sara Kern (Leavenworth) 4th place in Desktop Publishing and Top Ten in Business Meeting Management
Jason Lueger (Elwood) 4th place in Computer Network Technology
