Steve Caplinger of Caplinger Insurance & Realty, Effingham, recently spoke to the Livestock Production class at Highland Community College taught by Effingham native Clifford Hawk. Caplinger captivated the group of young farmers by outlining the process and terms applicable to purchasing land in relation to livestock production before engaging the students in a discussion on farm insurance and liability. The students commented that Caplinger’s program was well presented and that they learned some very valuable tips for buying insurance or property.
